About Marcie

I have practiced architecture in the SF Bay Area, Washington DC, Pittsburgh PA and Moscow, Russia since 1993. I’ve worked on large scale projects for multinational corporations, government buildings, and numerous unique, site-specific non-profit and residential projects with an emphasis on sustainability. Some project highlights include:

  • Pixar Headquarters in Emeryville, CA

  • Moscow headquarters for Caterpillar & JP Morgan

  • UC Berkeley forest research field station in Mendocino County

  • A novel 2-story strawbale lodge and conference center in the Sierra foothills

  • A waterfront home in Point Richmond (previously owned by Marshawn Lynch)

In addition to architecture, I have worked in environmental education, nonprofit business management, and construction/remodeling project management. Outside of work, I am an avid gardener with a permaculture certificate. I love all forms of art, travel and adventure, including building sandcastles (5 time champs), pumpkin carving, crocheting, pysanky, cooking and preserving, and birdwatching. My husband and I have two beautiful boys, a cute pooch, a green frog, and 2 feral tabby cats.
